Career advice has a wide range of articles offering information and advice about subjects such as volunteering and working abroad, education and I.T skills, and communication and leadership. There is a section on specialisation with articles on specific areas of nursing, and guidance on legal issues. Advice for interviews and information on flexible working and retirement can also be found in this area.
Articles in this section offer advice on awards and scholarships, interviews, and managing portfolios. We also look at how volunteering can help your career choices, and there is a section on innovation detailing how ideas have improved practice. Articles also offer guidance with media attention - whether writing for publication or being interviewed on television.
This section groups together different issues you may come across in the workplace. There are articles that focus on bullying, on communication, and on the benefits of working in a team. Here you will also find articles on equality and legal issues, as well as health and safety.
Nursing is physically and emotionally demanding. This section looks at subjects such as stress and offers advice on ways to cope and ways to relax. It also has articles about flexible working and agencies, and what to do if you are planning a career break, or returning to work after starting a family. We also have articles on retirement, and how to budget your finances and ways to save money.
Specialisation has articles about cancer nursing, community nursing, emergency nursing, learning disability nursing, mental health nursing, military nursing, nursing management, nursing practice, nursing children and young people, palliative care nursing, nursing older people, research nursing, and surgical nursing.
